LGBT Sheffield are organising a demo on Barkers Pool at 5.30 this Friday the 7th of February. This coincides with the opening ceremony of the winter Olympic games in Sochi Russia, We are showing our support for all the LGBT athletes who have shown great strength in taking part in a country that imprisons people just for being Gay, There has been many atrocities toward Gay people in Russia and we must show solidarity that we will not tolerate such treatment.
We will be meeting at 5.30 and having a minutes noise at 5.45. The
local press has been informed and the Sheffield Star will be there to
do report
on the event. Please come along and wave a flag and blow a whistle and
show solidarity.
