would like to convey this branch’s wholehearted support for your
campaign of action against the cuts to concessionary fares. For many
people, public transport is their only means of travel, and low fares
are essential to ease the financial burden. Any reduction in the
availability of concessionary fares is yet another attack on ordinary
working people.
It
is our belief that public transport should be taken out of the hands
of the profiteers and returned to the public sector for the benefit
of all, rather than lining the pockets of the few.
