INTERNATIONAL WORKERS`MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY, WORKERS` MEMORIAL TREE, SHEFFIELD TOWN HALL


12.30 P.M., SATURDAY, 28TH APRIL,2012.
 
This Years Workers` Memorial Day Theme is as always:-
 
"REMEMBER THE DEAD BUT FIGHT FOR THE LIVING!"
 
At 12.30 P.M. on Saturday, 28th April, 2012, the Sheffield Trades Union Council
is once again organising an International Workers` Memorial Day Ceremony at
the Workers` Memorial Tree which is situated in front of the Sheffield Town
Hall.
 
Councillor Dr.Elizabeth Sylvia Dunkley, the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, has agreed
to open the Ceremony and a number of local trade unionists and citizens are
invited to speak.
 
In this PRELIMINARY NOTICE Trade Union Branches, Shop Stewards`
Committees, and Joint Shop Stewards` Committees, are requested to encourage
fellow trades unionists, colleagues, and friends, to attend this very important
International Memorial Day Ceremony and to make arrangements to ensure
that wreaths and flowers are brought along and placed around the base of the
Workers` Memorial Tree.
