29th September March to Save the NHS

The NHS is under threat.

Tory dreams of dismantling the NHS and replacing it with private healthcare are taking a massive leap forwards.

The Tory health act has pushed the profit motive to the heart of the English NHS.

Private sector firms are engaged in a race to win £5 billion of NHS work that has been put out to tender.

About 160 large scale contracts—covering everything from mental health to running hospitals and GP clinics—are now being advertised.

And even as privatisation proves to be a disaster in the out of hours service, Call 111, still more of the NHS is being sold off.

Firms such as Virgin, G4S, Serco and Circle are engaged in a bidding war to see who can win the biggest chunk of the NHS budget.

That’s why the protest at the Tory party conference in Manchester on Sunday 29th of September is so vital.
